Born and raised in Brownsville, Dan Barrios has proudly called North Texas home for over 25 years. He’s a proud father, husband, and active community member.
His heart for service, hard work, and desire to bring people together led him to be elected to the Richardson City Council in 2023, where he currently continues to serve. ​
Now, he’s running for Congress because he knows what good government can deliver when it’s working for everyone - not the few.

Texans are working harder than ever, but it’s harder than ever to get by. From groceries to housing, costs keep rising. In Congress, Dan will confront the affordability crisis by strengthening consumer protections for working Americans.

Americans are facing healthcare crisis with skyrocketing insurance premiums, rising prescription costs, and closed hospitals. Healthcare is a basic necessity and Dan believes nobody should be left without access to affordable and quality medical care.

Dan believes trust in our elected representatives is essential for our democracy to function. He will stand against the extremism that is creating chaos in our core institutions, proudly defend the Constitution, and fight to ensure our rights are protected.
